Cooperative environmental stewardship for Jodhpur
A not-for-profit foundation that plans, operates and maintains the Common Effluent Treatment Plant for the textile industries of Jodhpur, under the guidance of RSPCB.
A partnership between industry, science and the regulator.
The Jodhpur Pollution Control and Research Foundation (JPCRF) is a not-for-profit organisation formed by textile industries operating in Jodhpur. It was constituted with the primary objective of protecting the environment from the impact of industrial effluent while enabling the region's textile industry to grow responsibly.
JPCRF operates a state-of-the-art Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) with a designed capacity of 18.5 million litres per day, connected to member industries through a dedicated 30 km closed conduit pipeline. All operations are conducted under the supervision and guidance of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB).

A brief history
Origins
Textile heritage of Jodhpur
Jodhpur has been a hub of textile dyeing and printing for decades, contributing significantly to Rajasthan's economy and employment.
Concern
Environmental challenge
Rapid industrial growth resulted in significant volumes of coloured effluent that required a systematic, science-based treatment approach.
Formation
JPCRF is founded
Textile industries came together to form JPCRF — a cooperative, not-for-profit foundation dedicated to environmental management.
Today
18.5 MLD CETP in operation
JPCRF operates a modern 18.5 MLD CETP with a 30 km closed conduit pipeline network serving 300+ member units.
CETP Overview & Infrastructure
Three pillars that make our environmental mission possible.
CETP Overview
18.5 MLD centralised treatment plant with primary, physico-chemical, biological and tertiary stages — designed to handle the full effluent load of Jodhpur's textile cluster.
Infrastructure
30 KM closed conduit pipeline network connecting industries directly to the plant, supported by a modern NABL-grade laboratory and 24×7 online monitoring systems.
Beneficiaries
300+ textile dyeing and printing units across the Jodhpur industrial belt, collectively served through a single, shared and cost-effective treatment solution.
Our Vision
A greener, cleaner Jodhpur — where industry and environment thrive together.
To be a model organisation for cooperative environmental management, enabling responsible industrial growth while protecting the region's precious natural resources.
Our Mission
Reliable treatment. Rigorous science. Real accountability.
To operate a technically robust CETP that consistently meets prescribed norms, to continuously research improved treatment methods, and to work in close partnership with member industries and RSPCB.
What we work towards
Protect the environment from untreated industrial effluent.
Operate and maintain the Common Effluent Treatment Plant.
Ensure compliance with RSPCB and CPCB norms.
Research and adopt improved treatment technologies.
Promote cleaner and more sustainable industrial practices.
Serve member industries transparently and reliably.
